Guitar Hero World Tour Drum Kit

Sat Nov 1, 2008, 10:10 AM
I bought the Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit last week. It's a fun game and the instruments are definitely better in my opinion then Rock Band's. However there is one problem. I noticed recently that my red pad for the drums isn't sensitive enough. Often when I hit it the game doesn't receive my input. Lots of people have been having trouble with this actually. This is sad considering the drum set just feels more fun to play than the other thing.

Thankfully there is a way to fix it. There is a program you use for your PC that lets you adjust the sensitivity of the pads. >.> There's just one problem, RED OCTANE DIDN'T INCLUDE THE PROPER USB CORD TO DO THIS. You have to order it from them, sure it's free but still, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!? Now I have to wait days to really play the drums properly. >.> Idiots, though they did make a good drum set. Too bad it's defective out of the box. :( Well then I'll just be waiting here waiting for that cable to arrive then. Oh and to all the Rock Band people who say that Rock Band instruments never had this problem :> remember your broken foot pedals when the game first came out.

Lol wow, competency and customer satisfaction at their highest. Guess gaming companies just believe in beta-testing anymore.

*just don't believe.

Wow, how did I miss that, I re-read that like twice before I posted it too.

So the game is good?

I've been considering getting it, after all it looks better than Rockband could hope to be.

Rock Band has a lot more downloadable content. It will supposedly have over 400 songs up by the end of 2008. Guitar Hero's DLC is very lacking in comparison, but hopefully it will pick up. I downloaded Jessie's Girl which is awesome, and there are some Metallica songs up.

Rock Band has more songs but I HATE their instruments with a passion. The drums are uninspired and look like bongos, the guitar has the most horrible rubber strum bar which gives you no feed back when you hit it, and the mike is just a regular USB mike so no complaints.

Guitar Hero World Tour tries to make up for the lack of DLC with a music creator. You can make your own songs and post them for others to play. Sadly the MIDI samples you used are pretty bad quality but it is still fun.

Which systems do you own?

:< The instruments aren't very backwards compatible on the PS3. If you got GHWT instruments for it they wouldn't work with ROck Band 2 on the PS3. ^^ I want to own both games if the instruments for GHWT work. I get more songs that way. 8D
