Lap Top in a comma

My laptop went down yesterday. It cannot boot up. Anyone have knowledge in this field? It tries to read the hard drive and then just sits there with a blank screen. My dad thinks it's the hard drive, and he has worked with laptops in the past. No promises on Pokemon Prisoners until this gets fixed. I miss my laptop. :(

I've had problems with mine, but never anything like that.

did you try letting it sit for a few minutes to see if anything happened?

That happened to me. I had to have the harddrive formatted.

Lost everything that was not backed up, oh well.

I wish I had more experience in the field. However, tell me what kind it is and I *might* be able to help.

I have had this same problem with my hard drive. It's corrupt. Your only choice is to buy either a new hard drive,or a new laptop. My hard drive was in a tower,so you might just have to buy a new laptop.

I had that happen recently. I turned it off while it was loading something, and it would not start back up. We had to end up reinstalling windows and everything else back on it. I was lucky and we were able to recover all my photos and music and such, but there is a chance that you won't be able too if you actually messed up the hard drive. I hope that is not the case. Here are a few links that might help assuming you are using windows xp. [link] [link]
I will try to find more links, but I could use some more info. My advice right now is to try to boot it up in safe mode (if you can), or try to reinstall window. You can do that by yourself, but I recommend taking it to a professional just to make sure that your data can be recovered, but there is no guarantee if it is the hard drive that is ruined. Hope I helped
